Matter No Matter

Matter No Matter is an audiovisual installation, a living, breathing system that blurs the boundaries between art and science. The work is a generative system, not relying on traditional algorithms or a series of predefined rules. Instead, its audiovisual results emerge from successive information pro- cessing within a feedback loop. At its heart, it is a fictional model of a living and autonomous organism, self-regulating and ever-evolving.
The piece explores the dynamic interactions of audio and video components, creating a system where each visual and auditory element interacts without central control. Both the audio and video systems generate their behaviour through feedback loops. The feedback processes within and between the video and audio components create a layered, evolving interplay that shapes the overall experience. This mutual influence evolves into a complex, ever-changing environment, highlighting the emergent properties of their interaction.
